This class is the same as the Hot 26X, but there is no instructions on how to do the poses. It is for practitioners who are familiar with the Hot 26 class to the point where they can do the poses without being told how and would like to have a quiet practice with their own breath, mind, and body. An instructor will be present as a participant in the class and will keep the pace and let everyone know what posture to do.

This 75 minute class is held in our Shiva Room with the temperature lowered to about 97º. Vinyasa is a method of practice that flows, moving from pose to pose with the movement of the breath. You can expect to build internal heat and total-body strength with Sun Salutations, and  to flow into new and unexpected movements with this class. As you grow in this style, you will feel the power and grace of connecting conscious breath and movement. Recommended for students with some experience practicing yoga and no recent injuries.

Through this practice, you will gain a deeper understanding of how to use your body and access its deep intelligence and express its greatest potentials. Gentle Yoga
Gentle Yoga is a wonderful and complete practice appropriate for all who wish to add the healing qualities of yoga into their lives. Rests are taken between poses as we move toward meditative introspection on a physical and mental level. This class is good as an introduction to yoga, and also highly beneficial for those returning from an illness or injury. If you’re looking for a soulful experience that will leave you feeling totally relaxed and rejuvenated, this is the class for you.

Yin Yoga
A perfect and essential practice to compliment any fiery, strong practice. A Yin practice has it’s focus on the body’s organs and connective tissues while more active practices will often be more focused on the muscular system.

Yin Yoga is often referred to as the “quiet practice.” Yin postures are done seated or laying on the floor. Students are instructed to relax all their muscles while holding each pose for at least 3 -5 minutes to allow a deep unwinding of tensions in the body’s connective tissues, specifically ligaments and tendons in our joints and spine. By gently opening our connective tissue we flush out our meridian system which helps the Prana and Chi flow in the body.

A well prepared Yin sequence can often create the same benefits to the student as an acupuncture session. Yin Yoga also assists in quieting the mind. As you go deep in the pose we learn to “stay” with whatever “comes up” in our body and minds. Expect to feel connected, nourished, softened, and revitalized. All levels welcome!
